Opium

«Gives the forgetting of sadness & removes grief» Homer

The topic is private & forbidden, but I am an artist, I am already 70 year old & I want to tell about it, about getting rid off pain, about changed conciosness, about my experience. I studied out the colleagues: the fairytale painting of victorian John Fitzgerald, of course, & literary creatures of the Parisian hashish club members- Baudelaire, Balzac & Hugo & poetry of english romantics Collridge & Shelly with their stunninglying comparisons.

And here, your submissive elderly servant, who suddenly got after-operation changed conciosness, who saw pain & the process of struggle with it by means of opiates. At first, it was amorphous bio mass of homogeneous gray color, being in the process of constant viscous move, absorbing & deeply retracting me inside, without the chance to escape & gradually very slowly the clearances appeared, so called «epileptic aura» by Thomas the Queens & they gave hope, the pain receded, dissolved in space & blissful existance started. And again & again the process repeated wavyly, more calm, gradually disappearing. It lasted for 10 days. Nothing for the history, but for the artist living by his images-the whole world, which I want to share.
