First of all, Simon Gulyako by the main education in the Shtiglits Academy is a fashion designer and his designers route became more or less successful due to his tutors in the Academy. They were desciples of the genius artists: Petrov-Vodkin, Malevich & Kandinsky & his applied curator was the first & till nowadays fashion designer N1 Vyacheslav Zaitsev. Simon practiced in his fashion house in Moscow & created the line of sportive clothes for the Olympic Games - 80. Clarity of the composition, immaculately of color solution m,professional selection made this collection the best hit of the sportive industry for the further 20 years. That was the first & only one successful experiment, when the authorities gave a chance to the young artist to express his talent, ambitions & fresh attitude towards fashion. Thanks to Olympiad-80. The country couldn’t lose it’s face. The international competition dictated progressive decisions. That is how the sportive clothes collection of the young Leningrad artist started it’s existence. The young stylist presented his collections annually but Perestroika & growing new mass market from Poland, Turkey & China prevented all activities in the fashion industry. For a long time it was in a deep stagnation. But, working in the Art Fund of Russia, Simon Gulyako actively applied his designer’s talent towards decorating of the former Soviet Union museums: Theatre, M.Gorky, F.Shslyapin, Musical instruments, Pavillions of the Summer garden & grandiose exhibitions of the Manege, dedicated to anniversaries of A.Pushkin & French Revolution. The task of the current exhibition is to demonstrate one more genuine talent of Simon’s Gulyako creativity.
